This week I decided to try three new protein bars. Sadly there was some serious gagging and definite disappointment. So please use my research to save yourself! My requirements are that it does not contain: soy, artificial sweetners, or too much sugar. It must have at least 10g or more of protein and taste decent. This eliminates many of the products available. So luckily I only had to try three.
Fiico Protein -Not too bad. It had 14g of protein and 9g of sugar.
Good Greens-I threw this one away because I literally gagged.
Rise-Very chewy and flavorless. Bummer, because it had 20g of whey protein and was low in sugar. I guess it was tolerable.
Below are the winners:
I love quest bars. They are a satisfying way to refuel after a workout and they are an easy alternative when I am not prepared. Click the photo to order on Amazon or you can get them at Vitamin Shoppe, Plum Market and Better Health Stores.
I really liked that these were not too sweet, used whey, and different than the usual chocolate type flavor. Delicious. They have them at the new Lucky’s Market!
Epic is smoky satisfying, low in sugar, and real! No added junk!
Delicious! I wish they were not so expensive. Oats and vanilla and the perfect amount of chewy crunchy combination! It’s great that they also have Omega 3 and Green tea extract! Both are great for health and weight loss!
So good and they have 12g of protein, no soy, no gluten, no added unncessary ingredients, and just like the label says no B.S. They have them almost everywhere now. So look at your local grocery store and keep one on hand for emergencies.
